Drunk man falls from terrace in UP's Kanpur, dies 20 minutes after

A 35-year-old man, in a drunken state, died after falling from the terrace of a liquor shop in UP's Kanpur.
A drunk man fell to death from terrace in Jahangirabad village of Kotwali area Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur. He was alive for 20 minutes after the fall. The victim was a liquor salesman who was partying at night with his friends.
After the party, 35-year-old Govind Jaiswal slept in the terrace. Late in the night he fell from the roof. He lay in agony for 20 minutes.
In the morning, the salesman's friend found him dead and informed the police. The local police reached the spot and gathered information about the incident. The body has been sent for postmortem and a report is awaited.
The police are gathering CCTV footage to ascertain the facts about the death.
On Monday night, Govind had a liquor party with his colleagues in the canteen outside the liquor shop, after which he sat in an intoxicated state for about half an hour.
Late in the night, the canteen operator closed his shop, after which he climbed a ladder and slept on the roof. At around 12:20 am, he tried to get down from the roof but fell to death.
