Drew Dilkens seeking re-election as Windsor mayor

Drew Dilkens announced Friday that he is seeking re-election as Windsor's mayor in the upcoming municipal election this fall.
Dilkens was first elected as the city's mayor in 2014 and has served two back-to-back terms.
He will be running against Ward 4 Coun. Chris Holt, Ernie Lamont and Benjamin Danyluk.
The deadline to apply to run in the municipal election is Aug. 19.
The municipal election is scheduled to take place Oct. 24.

The Rachel Notley government's consumer carbon tax wound up becoming a weapon the UCP wielded to drum the Alberta NDP out of office.
