Draymond Green fumes over being labeled ‘angry black man’ after latest technical, alleged racial slur
NY Post
Draymond Green lashed out Thursday night against what he believes to be a portrayal of him as an “angry black man” following the 117-93 Game 2 loss to the Timberwolves.
Green received his fifth technical foul of the postseason during the game, but also had an alleged racial slur directed at him that resulted in a fan’s ejection, Warriors security told ESPN.
“Looked like the angry black man. I’m not an angry black man,” Green said. “I’m a very successful, educated black man with a great family, and I’m great at basketball and great at what I do.
“The agenda to keep trying to make me look like an angry black man is crazy. I’m sick of it. It’s ridiculous.”
Green made just the brief statement after the game and did not provide details on why he believes there is an agenda against him, but it’s clear emotions were high after he found himself on the wrong end of a technical foul with 8:46 remaining in the second quarter.
The controversial Golden state star hit Naz Reid in the head with his left elbow/forearm while the Minnesota wing reached around and committed a foul with the Timberwolves ahead, 33-17.
