
Dr. Morrison to hold COVID-19 briefing Wednesday

Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Heather Morrison is scheduled to provide an update on the COVID-19 situation on P.E.I. Wednesday at 2 p.m.
The briefing will be streamed here and on the CBC P.E.I. Facebook page.
Nine people with COVID-19 have died on P.E.I. within the last two weeks.
As of Tuesday, there were 2,394 known active cases of COVID-19 and there have been 6,557 cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began. Over the last seven days, there have been an average of 249 cases per day.

Sarnia City Council will hold a special meeting Tuesday morning to respond to social media comments made by Coun. Bill Dennis, who criticized city spending on a new mural by Indigenous artist Kennady Osborne as “virtue signalling by woke politicians” — then made a series of comments in response to a reply from Aamjiwnaang Chief Janelle Nahmabin that some have characterized as unprofessional and aggressive.
