‘Done a good job’: SG Tushar Mehta says decision to extend ED chief Mishra's tenure justified

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta on Tuesday said that the Centre's decision to extend the tenure of SK Mishra as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) director is justified as he has 'done a good job'. 

Solicitor General of India Tushar Mehta on Tuesday defended the central government’s decision to extend the tenure of Sanjay Kumar Mishra as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) director. Tushar Mehta said SK Mishra was appointed to the post after considering his annual confidential reports of 10 years. His defence came in response to a petition in the Supreme Court questioning the extension of SK Mishra’s tenure.
