Donald Trump’s Attempt At A Big Brag Prompts The Mocking Question: ‘Who’s Gonna Tell Him?’
HuffPost
The president's claim about what people don’t do at America anymore backfired.
Donald Trump’s latest boast about America’s global standing under his leadership was met with groans and accusations of a spectacular self-own.
Speaking at a Ford plant in Dearborn, Michigan — a visit that also saw him flip off an autoworker and mouth “fuck you” at the employee — the president attempted to contrast his presidency with that of his predecessor, Joe Biden.
“We had a country where our leader was laughed at, and our country was scorned,” Trump claimed. “We had a country that was laughed at. They laughed at us. Two years ago, they laughed at us. They thought we were fools, they thought we were stupid people. Now we are seeing that they are not the smart ones — we are.”
Critics hit back on social media to suggest Trump was projecting and some asked, “Who’s gonna tell him?”
