Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that he has failed to understand the media focus on forward Vinicius Jr. The Brazilian came under the spotlight during Madrid's 4-1 win over Real Mallorca last week.
Real Madrid coach has said that he is failing to understand the increased media focus on Vinicius Jr. after the forward came under the spotlight recently.
The Brazilian faced a lot of criticism for being involved in an argument with Real Mallorca players during Madrid's 4-1 win last week. The attention was then shifted to his goal celebration as many have interpreted as provocative to opponents.
Vinicius went on to release a statement later on Instagram saying that his dance celebrates the cultural diversity of the world and he wouldn't stop doing it.
"My dances celebrate the cultural diversity of the world. Accept it, respect it, I'm not going to stop," said Vinicius.
Speaking ahead of Sunday's LaLiga derby away to Atletico Madrid, as quoted by Reuters, Ancelotti was fielded with a lot of questions about the Brazilian forward. The Real Madrid boss went on to say that he doesn't understand why there is so much focus on him at the moment, as Vinicius is playing with quality, joy and happiness at the moment.
Ancelotti went on to say that he doesn't need to advice the forward at the moment.
"I don't know what is happening with Vinicius, for me it's nothing, he is playing football with quality, joy and happiness," Ancelotti told reporters on Saturday.
