Dolphins lineman Bayron Matos airlifted to hospital in scary training camp scene
NY Post
Dolphins offensive lineman Bayron Matos was injured at the end of Miami’s first training camp practice Wednesday and airlifted via helicopter to a hospital for further evaluation, according to multiple reports.
The 24-year-old Dominican is currently in stable condition, the team said, per NFL.com.
The team did not release the extent or nature of the injury.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded on Wednesday morning at approximately 10:21 a.m. to Hard Rock Stadium, according to 7News Miami.
Matos, a 6-foot-7, 334-pound offensive lineman, was being tended to by medical officials on the field while surrounded by teammates for more than 10 minutes before being airlifted to a hospital, the Miami Herald reported.
The Dolphins ended practice as medical responders were on the field, but said the injury was not the reason practice ended.

Suddenly, someone had hit a rewind button and everyone had been transported back seven months. It was early spring instead of late fall, it was broiling hot outside the arena walls and not freezing cold. Everyone was back at TD Garden. There were 19,156 frenzied fans on their feet begging for blood, poised for the kill.
