Dodgers sending potential Yankees trade target Gavin Lux to Reds
NY Post
The Yankees will have to look elsewhere to sure up their infield.
The Reds agreed to a trade with the Dodgers to acquire infielder Gavin Lux, The Post’s Jon Heyman confirmed on Monday.
Cincinnati is sending a Competitive Balance Round A pick (around No. 37) and outfield prospect Mike Sirota to Los Angeles in exchange, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passon.
The 27-year-old Lux, who can play several positions, was linked to the Yankees in multiple reports in recent weeks – but the Dodgers opted to ship him to the Reds.
Cincinnati can use him in a super-utility role.
Los Angeles decided to get rid of Lux after signing Hyeseong Kim earlier this month.
