Direct selling industry shows double-digit growth despite pandemic, Assam contributes 4.59% of market share

The direct selling industry in India has shown double-digit growth, with Assam alone accounting for 4.59 per cent of gross national direct selling revenue.

Despite the coronavirus and the restrictions imposed on account of the pandemic, the direct selling industry in India has shown double-digit growth. The industry had clocked a growth of 28.26 per cent to Rs 16,776.2 crore in FY 2019-20 against Rs 13080 crore in FY 2018-19.

The direct selling industry of the North East India has touched Rs 1621 crore in the financial year of 2019-20 which accounts for 9.66 per cent of market share.
