TVK president Vijay seeks action against V. Ponraj, former scientific advisor to A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, for his alleged derogatory remarks against women.
Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay on Thursday (March 26, 2026) submitted a petition addressed to the Director-General of Police/Head of Police Force in Chennai seeking action against V. Ponraj for his alleged derogatory remarks against women.
Mr. Vijay arrived at the DGP office on Thursday evening (March 26, 2026) to submit the petition demanding action against Mr. Ponraj, who was scientific advisor to former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Sources said he handed over the petition to ADGP (Law and Order) Maheshwar Dayal.
In his petition, Mr. Vijay claimed Mr. Ponraj was a supporter of the DMK and spoke in a derogatory manner against women who support TVK. Further, he also claimed Mr. Ponraj had spoken in such a manner only because he derived support from the DMK and that no one could take action against him.
