Delimitation Commission to begin J&K visit; all parties, except PDP, agree to meet

The Delimitation Commission is set to begin its three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. All J&K-based political parties have agreed to meet the commission with the sole exception of the PDP.

Days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi met political leaders from Jammu and Kashmir and assured them of elections in the UT, the Delimitation Commission is set to make its maiden trip to J&K. The three-day visit is slated for 6th-9th July. The Delimitation Commission comprises Justice (Retd) Ranjana Prakash Desai, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sushil Chandra, and Deputy Election Commissioner Chandra Bhushan.
