Delhi: Three Nepalese drug peddlers nabbed with 15 kg hashish worth Rs 60 lakh

Three Nepalese drug peddlers were arrested by the Delhi Police and they seized and 15.155 kg of hashish worth Rs 60 lakh. The accused used to supply hashish in small packets to unknown people in the Delhi-NCR region.
The Anti-Narcotics Cell of Delhi Police arrested three Nepalese drug peddlers with 15.155 kilograms of hashish worth Rs 60 lakh on Monday. The accused have been identified as Dhananjay Rai, Ashish Rai and Kanchaman Yonjan, all residents of Sarlahi in Nepal.
Police also seized one weighing machine and nine packing polythenes from the possession of the accused.
The police team of Southeast district received specific inputs that three people carrying psychotropic substances would come to Sarai Kale Khan would come to Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to supply the drugs to an unknown person. Acting on a tip-off, police laid a trap near Bala Saheb Gurudwara on the instructions of senior officials.
After sometime, police saw three people coming towards the Gurudwara and one of them was carrying a bag on his back. As soon as the secret informer signalled the police about the movement of the alleged drug peddlers, cops apprehended them.
Police found 15.155 kg hashish, one weighing machine and nine packing polythenes from the bag of one of the accused.

Upon further interrogation, the accused told the police that they had been indulged in illegal transportation of psychotropic substances for the past one year. The drug peddlers disclosed that they supplied hashish in small packets to unknown people in the Delhi-NCR region.
