After record rainfall last week, Delhi witnessed fresh spells of rain Thursday morning, leading to a rise in the water level in the Yamuna river.
Delhi witnessed fresh spells of rain early Thursday, leading to a rise in the water level in the Yamuna river. The water level, which neared the danger mark in the morning, is likely to cross the mark by noon, an official said.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had earlier predicted intense rainfall in the north and central India till Thursday. It also said heavy rainfall is likely to occur over Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, east Rajasthan and Gujarat till September 16 and decrease thereafter.
