
Delhi's pollution worsens, air quality 'severe' in many parts

The air pollution in Delhi worsened again on Thursday morning with several areas in the 'severe' category.
With several areas in the 'severe' category, Delhi air pollution has worsened again. On Thursday morning, while the overall Air quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 312 (very poor category) in Delhi, in other states of the National Capital Region (NCR), the AQI crossed 400 (severe category). The air quality in Delhi's Vivek Vihar area is at 471, while it is at 451 in Anand Vihar, and an AQI of 479 was recorded in Noida.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
