Delhi BJP chief Adesh Gupta said the development journey of Delhi is connected to Chandni Chowk itself. Revenue from the trade and business establishments of Chandni Chowk has led to the expansion of the city.
Representatives of several trade organizations in Chandni Chowk and business leaders from surrounding areas have expressed satisfaction with the rollback of the trade license fee hike by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC). They see it as a win for the wholesale traders of Chandni Chowk and adjoining areas like Chawri Bazar, Lal Kuan, Khari Baoli, Naya Bazar and Sadar Bazar, who, for centuries, have contributed in a big way to the economic growth of Delhi. Delhi BJP chief Adesh Gupta said the development journey of Delhi is connected to Chandni Chowk itself. Revenue from the trade and business establishments of Chandni Chowk has led to the expansion of the city; the merchants here have also to Delhi’s cultural and religious fabric. The Ramlila, Kavi Sammelan and religious places here are world-famous, he remarked. While congratulating the newly formed Traders Council, Adesh Gupta said the organization will represent the various businesses spread across Chandni Chowk.More Related News
