The Delhi High Court on Wednesday, November 10, dismissed a plea made by the Central Bureau of Investigation, challenging an order that allowed copies/inspection of documents by the accused in the INX Media case. The case involves former Union minister P Chidambaram and his son Karti Chidambaram.
In 2017, the CBI had registered an FIR over alleged irregularities in the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) clearance given to the INX Media group for receiving overseas funds of Rs 305 crore. P Chidambaram was then the Union finance minister in the UPA government.
