
Delhi discoms to get as much power as required, says RK Singh

Union Power Minister RK Singh said distribution companies in Delhi will get as much power as required based on demand.
Union Power Minister RK Singh on Saturday said electricity distribution utilities in Delhi will get as much power as required by them. During a review meeting of the coal stock situation at thermal power plants, Singh said distribution companies of Delhi will get as much power as requisitioned by them as per their demand.
The power minister also directed NTPC and DVC to give full availability as per the requirement of discoms.
Meanwhile, GAIL India also assured that it will make gas available from all sources APM, SPOT, LT-RLNG — to gas-based power plants in Delhi.
The entire energy requirement is also being met in Delhi, which is about 123.6 MU as of April 29.
Discoms in Delhi have been getting power from the power plants based on declared capacity. The installed generation capacity in Delhi is 3056 MW.
The power demand of Delhi is met mainly from allocation from central sector power stations which includes allocation from thermal, hydro, nuclear and gas-based power stations.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
