Delhi Crime Branch arrested a man involved in more than 78 criminal cases, including robbery and snatching at gunpoint. The police have been searching for the accused, who went by several names such as Ajay, Sanjay and Bhawar Singh, for a long time.
Based on a tip, the cops from Police Station Uttam Nagar raided his residence in Budh Vihar and nabbed the accused.
During interrogation, he revealed that he had been involved in several cases of robbery and snatching since the age of 17 years. He looted jewellery from people in 2017 and also robbed a person at gunpoint in February 2022.
He also said that he has worked with several wanted criminals from the city including Mukesh Pahalwan, Rohit Bhed, Vinod aka Pota, Yogesh, Rohit aka Golu and Shiv Kumar.
The accused told the police that he got into the wrong company at a young age and started robbing people.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent. He provided critical intelligence on Pakistani troop movements and the country's nuclear programme, but died a lonely death after his betrayal and subsequent capture by the ISI.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
