Delhi Crime Branch arrests kingpin of organised satta syndicate

The kingpin of an organised satta syndicate was arrested by the officials of Delhi Crime Branch. The accused was previously involved in a similar case in Punjab's Ludhiana and was on the run since 2016.
The officials of Delhi Crime Branch arrested a prime member of a well-organised 'Satta' syndicate who had a bounty of Rs 50,000 on his head. The accused, identified as Lalit Verma aka Neetu, was previously involved in a similar case in Punjab's Ludhiana and was on the run since 2016.
Police have also arrested his accomplices, identified as Roshan Lal Verma, Amarnath Bajaj, Yogeshwar Dayal Sharma and their other associates in connection with the crime. The kingpin and his associates used to earn huge profits from this organised crime syndicate as they were getting protection from mafia don D.P. Yadav. Verma was declared a proclaimed offender by the Delhi High Court in 2017.
