Delhi BJP felicitates 8 arrested for vandalism at Kejriwal's residence, AAP hits out

The Am Aadmi Party (AAP) slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for honouring eight of its youth-wing activists arrested in connection with an alleged attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence.
The Bharatiya Janata Party's Delhi unit on Thursday felicitated eight members of the party's youth wing, eliciting sharp criticism from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which claimed that the BJP was encouraging hooliganism.
The party's youth wing members were arrested for vandalising Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence.
Lashing out at the BJP, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, "If someone commits hooliganism in America, he goes to jail. In India, he goes to that party."
"In Europe, if someone molests a girl, he goes to jail. In India, he goes to this party," he tweeted.

AAP leader Atishi said that the felicitation sends out a message to BJP workers that they will be rewarded if they indulge in “hooliganism and vandalism”.
