A 28-year-old robber was arrested in the Lahori Gate area in Delhi on Wednesday.

The accused was identified as T Sarath Kumar, who hails from Tamil Nadu.
Based on a tip-off, a police team set up a checkpoint in the Lahori Gate area and started checking vehicles.
At around 8 pm on March 23, the suspect saw the police and tried to flee the spot. The police team instantly swung into action and succeeded in arresting him. Upon search, a knife was recovered from his possession.
During the interrogation, the accused revealed that he used to rob people in busy markets and used to live on the pavements of the railway station.
After committing the robbery, he used to return to his native village to evade arrest.
Seven cases of theft have been registered against the accused in different police stations in Delhi.
