Two days after a border clash with Mizoram, the Assam government has decided to create five new police battalions.
Two days after inter-state violence broke out in Lailapur area in Cachar district along the Assam-Mizoram border, the Assam government on Wednesday decided to create five new Assam police battalions. 3. All @assampolice personnel deployed on the Mizoram border, shall get an additional salary of a month.4. Assam Govt will raise 3 commando battalion for Karimganj, Cachar and Hailakandi; 3000 personnel will be recruited. Pijush Hazarika, state water resources minister and Assam government spokesperson, told India Today over the phone that the Assam Cabinet had taken this decision.More Related News
