David Warner will be one of most-wanted players at IPL 2022 auction after T20 World Cup heroics: Sunil Gavaskar

T20 World Cup 2021: Speaking to India Today, batting great Sunil Gavaskar said it was David Warner's self-belief that helped him put behind the disappointment of IPL 2021 and hit peak form during the World Cup in the UAE.

Legendary India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar said David Warner will be one of the most sought-after players at the Indian Premier League auction, adding that the Australia star will attract big bucks if SunRisers Hyderabad decide not to retain him after a frosty relationship with the franchise in IPL 2021.

David Warner was dropped from the side and removed as captain of SunRisers Hyderabad as the former champions finished with the wooden spoon in IPL 2021. It emerged that Warner was not allowed to travel with the team to stadiums in the UAE before he came out to cheer for them from the stands in the last few league games of IPL 2021.
