A newborn girl was found in a wooden box floating in the river at Ghazipur, with a piece of paper that proclaimed her as the "daughter of the Ganga", according to a PTI report. The box carrying the infant was found by a local boatman, Gullu Chaudhary, who carried the girl home. Besides the baby, the box contained a picture of goddess Durga, a horoscope and incense sticks. After the matter was brought to the attention of the police, the girl child was admitted to the district hospital.More Related News
