A Virginia man’s decision to dump thousands of pennies on his ex-wife’s lawn as his final child support payment is being turned into some positive change, thanks to the generous actions of the woman and her teenage daughter. Avery Sanford spoke out about the nasty experience this week, telling local station WTVR that she had just turned 18 when her father rented a trailer last month to cart his final payment, in the form of more than 80,000 pennies, over to her and her mother’s home to dump in front of their yard. “It is really hurtful and damaging to your kids when you do things like that,” Sanford told the Richmond-based station of his action. “And it doesn’t matter how old your kids — it doesn’t matter if they’re a young child or an adult.
