Dasna priest says Muslims helped in temple construction when they were Hindus 200 years ago

Days after a Muslim youth was repeatedly slapped for drinking water from inside the premises of a temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Dasna area, a bigger board banning the entry of Muslims has been put up outside the temple. The teenager was allegedly thrashed by a man, who was arrested after a video went viral showing him beating up the boy for drinking water inside the temple. The incident has upset local Muslims in the area, who claimed that their ancestors helped in the construction of the temple. However, the head priest of the temple has now claimed that he was the one who constructed most parts of the temple.
