Cyclone Yaas: All agencies on high alert, fishing boats recalled, passenger trains cancelled

All agencies have been put on high alert, fishing boats have been recalled to shore and passengers trains scheduled for Tuesday onwards have been cancelled in view of the approaching Cyclone Yaas, a group of Union ministers was told on Monday.
All government and industry stakeholders are on high alert and ready to work closely to tackle the relief and rescue work in view of the Cyclone Yaas approaching India’s eastern sea shore, a group of Union ministers were told on Monday. The meeting was attended by officials from Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Ministry of Shipping, Ministry of Railways and state governments, apart from industry stakeholders.More Related News
