CSK batter Robin Uthappa blessed with daughter: Newest angel in our lives

India batter Robin Uthappa announced on social media that he had been blessed with a baby daughter on Thursday.

Chennai Super Kings batter Robin Uthappa and his wife Shheethal were blessed with a baby girl on Thursday and the couple have named her Trinity Thea Uthappa. The couple became first-time parents in 2017 when they were blessed with a son - Neale Nolan Uthappa, and now they have welcomed another member into their small family.

Uthappa took to social media to share pictures of his newborn daughter and said that he was grateful that they were blessed with a baby girl.

"With hearts that are full, we'd love to introduce the newest angel into our lives. Introducing Trinity Thea UTHAPPA. We're so grateful to you for choosing us to bring you into the world and blessing us to be your parents and your brother," Uthappa wrote on his official Instagram handle.

Uthappa has gone on to become one of the mainstays of the Chennai Super Kings batting unit after joining the 4-time champions last year. Uthappa replaced Suresh Raina towards the business end of CSK's victorious run in IPL 2021 and made an immediate impact with the bat, playing crucial knocks in the qualifier and the final.

Robin Uthappa finished with 230 runs from 12 games at an average of 20.91 and a strike rate of 134.50 in IPL 2022. With CSK choosing to try out their bench strength, he made way in the playing XI for the team's final two encounters. Uthappa's last international appearance came in a T20 against Zimbabwe in Harare back in 2015.
