Critics Roast Melania Trump’s Documentary With Memes — And They're More Entertaining Than The Actual Film

President Donald Trump claims tickets are "selling out fast," but photos of theaters with unsold seats for the film suggest otherwise.
The verdict is still out on whether the new Melania Trump documentary will be a success when it opens in U.S. theaters on Friday, but it’s already a hit with online meme makers.
The new film, “Melania,” is directed by “Rush Hour” director Brett Ratner, and documents a 20-day period before the 2025 presidential inauguration.
Amazon MGM Studios reportedly paid $40 million in 2025 for the distribution rights to the film, and is spending another $35 million on marketing.
The first lady helped to promote the film by ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday, and will be at the film’s U.S. premiere Thursday night at the much-beleaguered Kennedy Center.
But that may not be enough to make the film a hit.
