The president's strangest boast yet lights up social media.
President Donald Trump on Thursday claimed to be the world’s leading expert on a very unexpected subject: grass.
“I’m pretty good at grass because I have a lot of golf courses all over the place,” he said. “I know more about grass than any human being, I think, anywhere in the world.”
Trump was speaking in Washington, D.C., where he has called in troops to fight crime in a move critics have decried as a political stunt.
While there, he also vowed to plant new grass to improve the parks.
“Y’know, like everything else, grass has a life. Do you know that? Grass has a life,” he said. “We have a life, and grass has a life, and the grass here died about 40 years ago.”
A spokesperson for the FBI denied the report, calling it "hogwash."
The agreement follows a weeks-long bidding war for the storied company.
