Critical patient dies of rat bite in Mumbai hospital

The patient was admitted in Mumbai's Rajawadi Hospital for the treatment of meningitis and liver problems.

A 24-year-old patient who was bitten by a rat while taking treatment at BMC run Rajawadi Hospital in Mumbai died on Wednesday. Srinivasan was diagnosed with meningitis and liver problems. The exact reason for his death is awaited. The shocking incident of rat biting Srinivas Yellappa inside the ICU came to light on Tuesday. He was admitted to the hospital on Sunday and was put on a ventilator after the initial diagnosis. Yellappa’s sister Yashodha alleged on Wednesday that her family was not allowed to see him from 4 pm to 8 pm. Later, they were informed about his demise.
