CBC
The Hew & Draw hotel in Corner Brook, N.L. was damaged Thursday night after a car went through the windows near the hotel restaurant. Police say there were minor injuries.
The restaurant inside the hotel was open at the time.
The collision caused significant damage to the front of the building and the main entrance. Emergency crews worked to remove the vehicle while hotel staff cleaned the inside of the restaurant.
A section of West Street near the hotel was closed for about an hour as crews removed the vehicle. Traffic was flowing again by 8 p.m. NT.
Hotel management and police officers on the scene declined interviews.
The hotel's Facebook page had a post about the collision.
"Tonight was an awful night," it reads.
"First and foremost, we are hoping and praying everyone is OK. This is an evolving situation and we don't have all the facts yet, beyond a car crashed into our hotel."
The post goes on to say that the restaurant will remain closed, but the hotel will stay open.
