Fox News
A Connecticut teacher who police say caused a student to lose consciousness after putting a “martial arts chokehold” on the child has resigned.
"Ms. Sanabria has resigned her employment with the Norwalk Public Schools," the district told Fox News Digital in a statement. "The safety of our students is our first concern, and we immediately investigated the situation involving Ms. Sanabria when it occurred." Greg Norman is a reporter at Fox News Digital.
It is unclear why Sanabria allegedly was placing students in chokeholds. A district spokeswoman told Fox News Digital on Tuesday that the moves were "not part of instruction for the day."
