Commonwealth Games 2022: India captain Harmanpreet Kaur pleased with India's performance vs Pakistan

India defeated Pakistan in the women's group match to pick up crucial points in the Commonwealth Games.
India women's cricket team picked their first points in the Commonwealth Games, putting in a strong show against Pakistan on Sunday, 31 July. India won the rain-curtailed match by eight wickets to put their campaign back on track, after narrowly losing out to world champions Australia.
Speaking after the game India captain Harmanpreet Kaur said that she was very pleased with the result.
"We were quite positive. Even in the last game, we played good cricket in patches and everybody knew that today’s game was important for us as we would be able to carry the momentum into the next matches. The way our team played today, I was quite pleased," she said.
Talking about the shift in plans today to include two off spinners, Harman said that it was made due to strategic reasons.
"Sneh Rana has always played good against Pakistan and that's why brought her back into the team and since Pakistan had a plenty of left handed batters, we decided to go with two off spinners," she said.
"It is very important to have a positive and in the NCA camp held ahead of the CWG we worked on that. We even had a session with VVS Laxman which helped us a lot," she spoke about the mindset.
Asked about if she is feeling good about gold medal finish, Harman said that, it was the aim.
