Commanders’ Jayden Daniels suffers a horrific arm injury during sack in chilling scene
NY Post
Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels suffered a brutal arm injury during the fourth quarter of the team’s game against the Seahawks on Sunday night.
Daniels, with the game already well out of hand, scrabbled to his right and was sacked at the Seahawks’ 4-yard line on the play by Seattle linebacker Drake Thomas.
As Daniels tried to brace himself with his left – and non-throwing – arm, his elbow snapped in the wrong direction and was potentially dislocated. Falcons coach Dan Quinn called it a “left elbow injury” and did not have more details at the time.
Daniels’ teammates immediately kneeled down around him in a somber scene at Northwest Stadium.
“It’s really tough to see him go down. You just want him to stay positive,” Commanders linebacker Bobby Wagner said. “You don’t know what the result is. You just speak a lot of positivity into existence. He’s a very positive person so we’re just praying for the best.”
