Ajmer cleric Gauhar Chishti, who raised provocative slogans against Nupur Sharma, has been arrested in Hyderabad.
Gauhar Chishti, the Ajmer Dargah Khadim, who had been absconding after raising provocative slogans against Nupur Sharma, was held in Telangana's Hyderabad on Thursday.
The cleric in a video was seen allegedly raising slogans at the premises of Ajmer Dargah. He was caught by Ajmer Police.
The involvement of three clerics, Gauhar Chisthi, Aadil Chisthi and Sarwar Chisthi in raising slogans against Nupur Sharma, has also hit the business of Ajmer Dargah up to 90 per cent and traders fear a loss of at least Rs 50 crores. Cleric Gauhar Chisti is a relative of two key accused in the Udaipur tailor murder case, Mohammad Riyaz and Mohammad Ghouse.
Notably, till now, three Khadim of the Dargah have given provocative statements against Nupur Sharma.
