Clashes broke out between two groups of Muslims out to celebrate Eid at Nagaur in Rajasthan, a state which has been witnessing communal clashes since Ram Navami last month.

The police soon reached the area and attempted to restore normalcy and prevent further escalation with the help of locals.
The Nagaur violence comes within hours of clashes over loudspeakers at mosques being reported from Jodhpur, nearly 150 km apart.
In Jodhpur, members of two religious communities threw stones at one another, set bikes on fire as the police scrambled to contain the situation. Prohibitionary orders have been imposed in the area.
