Chuck Norris spent his golden years peak condition, including climbing an iconic Northern California peak only months before his shocking death at 86.
The famed martial artist and action star summited the 10,457-foot Lassen Peak in September, celebrating the accomplishment in an Instagram post.
“What a day! I had the pleasure of hiking Lassen Peak once again,” he wrote.
The mountain marks the southernmost active volcano in the Cascade Range, which most recently erupted between 1914 and 1917.
In his post, Norris said that he had hiked the volcano before, and “walking those trails brought back so many wonderful memories.”
He also noted that his wife, Gena O’Kelley, grew up in the area.
