Shweta Tripathi talks about lending her voice for Batman: Ek Chakravyuh. The actress also reveals her favourite Batman.
Actress Shweta Tripathi recently lent her voice for the character of Barbara in the audio series, Batman: Ek Chakravyuh. A few episodes of the audio series are out and they are well received by the audiences. Besides Shweta, Amit Sadh has lent his voice to Batman's character. The audio series has been directed by Mantra and produced by MnM talkies for Spotify. Considering it was a new medium for Shweta, there were certain challenges that she faced while working on the series.
"The first challenge was that it was Batman. It wasn't a new character and it wasn't like aap jo bhi karo vo hojayega. Everybody knows Batman. And it also comes from an English-speaking culture. Hum vo pura uthake dub nahi kare rahe hai but we are creating it," said Shweta.
Talking about another challenge she faced while working on the audio series, Shweta added, "One challenge was that you have to be true to the world, the essence, but at the same time, the language has been changed. So it was necessary that it didn't sound fake. It was quite meditative. Barbara (her character) is also a fan of Batman. This is a man whom you respect and you are attracted to. But at the same time, you are standing on your ground. Barbara mein maza ye tha that she is cop. And when you play such a professional character, you have to understand the psychique and understand what is going on in their mind. Even if you are feeling scared, you can't show it."
Speaking further about the series and Batman, Shweta mentioned, "I feel there's a superhero in each one of us. And all of us have a superpower. The superpower can be in your heart as well as your mind. The way you use it is important. Your intent is what matters. And the one thing I find cool about Batman is his gadgets. From his bike, cape to his mask, his voice to where he lives and the morals he has,I like these aspects of him. Christian Bale's Batman is my favourite."
On the work front, Shweta will soon be seen in Mirzapur 3.
