Chasing a below-par 132 to win, PBKS rode on superb knocks from their skipper KL Rahul, Gayle and opener Mayank Agarwal to cross the finish line with 14 balls to spare and end their 3-match losing streak in IPL 2021. Speaking with his teammate Arshdeep Singh after the match, Gayle told the young fast bowler that he was feeling relieved and happy at the same time as Punjab Kings finally managed to get back to winning ways in the tournament.
