
Child dies after falling from 19th-storey window in Winnipeg

A child died Thanksgiving Day after falling from a highrise apartment building in Winnipeg.
The four-year-old fell from a window on the 19th floor of the 20-storey building around 5 p.m. Monday, police said.
The child was rushed to hospital and pronounced dead.
The building, known as Cumberland House, is near the corner of Cumberland Avenue and Carlton Street in the city's Central Park neighbourhood.
The fall was determined to be accidental and no arrests were made, police said.
No information was provided on the sex of the child and police say nothing more will be released.
