Chiefs fear significant Gardner Minshew injury — one week after losing Patrick Mahomes for season
NY Post
The Chiefs may be down another quarterback.
Kansas City is now worried that quarterback Gardner Minshew tore his ACL when he had to exit Sunday’s 26-9 loss to the Titans in the opening minute of the game, according to multiple reports.
Minshew will undergo further testing, meaning the Chiefs may have lost two quarterbacks to ACL tears in the span of as many games, after Patrick Mahomes’ season was cut short in their Week 15 loss to the Chargers.
Minshew went down on the third play of the game as he scrambled and fell to the ground.
The injury appeared to be a noncontact one, and he quickly grabbed his left knee.
He did attempt to remain in the game.

‘Freak of nature: Zion Williamson’s resurgence could pose a Knicks problem versus motivated Pelicans
Zion Williamson is slimmer and healthier for his trip to MSG.

Almost a year to the day after a goaltender interference call against Kyle Palmieri lost the Islanders a game against the Blue Jackets that started their season’s death spiral, they were on the wrong end of another controversial call against those same Blue Jackets that might have had the same effect.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.
