Champions League: Liverpool became the first English side to finish the group stages of the UCL campaign with a perfect record as they eliminated AC Milan from Europe with a 2-1 win on Wednesday.
Liverpool reached the Round of 16 of Champions League with a perfect record as they won all their six group-stage matches. The former champions hammered Italian giants AC Milan who were eliminated in the group stage after finishing last in Group B from which Atletico Madrid also progressed.
Liverpool's second-string side fought back to knock AC Milan with a 2-1 victory at San Siro as goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi helped the Reds become the first English team to win all six games in the group stage of the Champions League. It was also the first time in their history that they had chalked up a sixth consecutive victory in the competition.
