Centre files review petition against SC’s verdict striking down Maratha reservation

The central government on Thursday filed a review petition in the Supreme Court urging it to reconsider the verdict in which it struck down reservation for the Maratha community.

The central government moved a review plea in the Supreme Court on Thursday urging the court to reconsider its verdict in the Maratha reservation case. While we were fighting this precarious battle, the SC has given a decision on the Maratha reservation, which is disappointing. We are studying this ruling.
