The Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday asked states and union territories to strengthen facilities for vulnerable groups, especially children orphaned due to Covid-19, in order to prevent human trafficking.

Towards the same goal, the government stated that it is setting up institutional mechanisms to prevent and counter human trafficking.
