CDC adds COVID-19 vaccines to official immunization schedule for kids as young as 6 months
Fox News
The CDC's updated immunization schedule recommends that children between six months and 18 years old should receive the full COVID vaccine series and booster.
The schedule, which is posted on the CDC's website, recommends that children between six months of age and 18 years old should receive two doses of the primary series between four and eight weeks apart — followed by a booster dose at least eight weeks later. "The decision of whether to get the vaccine should be between the child, parent and pediatrician." Melissa Rudy is health editor and a member of the lifestyle team at Fox News Digital.
Children who are "moderately or severely immunocompromised" should include a third dose in the primary series, says the CDC.
