Cancel 'jumbo' TTD board: TDP chief Naidu to Andhra CM YS Reddy

In a letter to Adhra Pradesh CM YS Reddy, Naidu said to cancel the newly formed 'jumbo' TTD board, and pointed out that this is the first time an 81-member board has been formed.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Board formed by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has attracted criticism from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and former CM Chandrababu Naidu.In a letter to the CM, Naidu wrote, "It should be revoked and a new Board should be constituted, for the traditions and sentiments of the devotees. Importance should be given to those known for their devotional fervour and the spirit of 'Swamivari Seva'. Appointment of accused persons in CBI cases as members of the Board was highly objectionable.’’ While the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and uncle of CM Reddy was assigned as the chairman, new board members were also nominated. BJP Yelahanka MLA SR Viswanath Reddy, DMK MLA AP Nandakumar, Shiv Sena’s Milind Narvekar, former Puducherry minister Malladi Krishna Rao, industrialist J Rameshwar Rao, Managing Director of India Cements N Srinivasan became some of the members of the Board.
