California Christian college student founds pro-life club after school rejects Students for Life chapter
Fox News
Linda-Isabella Rendon successfully establishes pro-life club at Vanguard University after initial rejection over political neutrality concerns from administrators.
Peter D'Abrosca is a reporter at Fox News Digital covering campus extremism in higher education.
"We tried to start the Students for Life chapter here at Vanguard, and we went through the same club application that everyone goes through when they want to start a club," Rendon told Fox News Digital. "We applied, we got student names that were interested, and after we submitted the application, we were told that the club was going to be denied due to political and ideological reasons. The school didn't want to have any political or ideological affiliations." Follow Peter on X at @pmd_reports. Send story tips to peter.dabrosca@fox.com.
Rendon said she met with the school's president, Michael Beals, after the rejection, but was told that the administration's initial decision would stand.
