Brooklyn Democratic Party sued for $82,000 in unpaid rent after breaking lease during pandemic: report
Fox News
A Los Angeles based real estate company says the Brooklyn Democratic Party owes it over $100,000 for breaking a lease during the coronavirus pandemic and not paying rent.
The reason for terminating was allegedly "due to the Tenant's inability to utilize the Premises for its intended purpose as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic." Andrew Mark Miller is a writer at Fox News. Find him on Twitter @andymarkmiller and email tips to AndrewMark.Miller@Fox.com.
The Brooklyn Democratic Party was apparently unaware the building had been sold to the Los Angeles based CIM Group three years earlier.
